unrequited love... don't crave something Ikea won't ship.

Ikea Foto... 15 bucks!

Why, oh, why is there no Ikea store near me? Not one in KC, St. Louis, anywhere... Nearest one is 10 hours away. Considering the gas money it would take to get me there, the inexpensive light fixtures I want would no longer be inexpensive.
See... I want 2 industrial pendant lights for my kitchen. I have looked all over, and the ones I like are $400. And then I stumble across a picture of an Ikea Foto pendant light. And I love it. Plus, the price is right. It comes in 3 sizes, ranging from $15 - $30. I'm thinking - YES! Lighting I can afford!

And then the buzzkill... They don't ship them.

WHY???? WHY do they bother putting it on their site? Just to torture me?

And since my family is all here in the Midwest, I can't say, Hey - I will send ya cash if you scoot to Ikea for me.

I am off to grumble... and look at over-priced lights at Barn House Electric and School House Electric. BAH!

Circe Large Country Industrial Pendant... Price? $800 and up...

Pedlars Cafe Lamp - $80 + shipping from UK

Barn House Electric - Baylor Light - $200

Same here Puck- I will be heading back to Ikea in about 2-3 weeks so if you want to shop online and make a shopping list I can pick it all up and ship it to you..
sorry about that- amazing they will ship a sink but not a lightweight light? what is the rationale behind that?

I might take one of you up on that! I really like their light. I almost bought a real barn light from Tractor Supply Company, but it was a little *too* rustic!

I actually saw some cute pendants that were pretty similar at Lowes last weekend. If you have on near you might be worth checking out. I'm sure they aren't as cheap as the IKEA ones but I really doubt they are over $100

I will be in an area with an IKEA store in the next few weeks and would be happy to get them and ship them if you want.

Sorry-I've been out of commission -- terribly sick for over a week-- but do you want to know how I cut my grocery bill in half? go to Cut your grocery bills now plus I have a give a way and a new Mr Linky party starting tomorrow but Mr Linky will be up by 8 p.m. tonight
